GET TO KNOW
DR. DAVID PASCALE HAGUE

Hi.  I am so glad you are here.   I like this section of my website to help you get to know me before we meet.  I am originally from the east coast and lived in Philadelphia before moving to Lexington in 2008.  I was a social worker in the city and was ready to make a change in my life when I moved.

In 2015 I earned my Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky.  I have worked in several agencies and Universities over the years, Most recently I worked at the University of Kentucky, The Ohio State University and Transylvania University.  In the past I taught in the College of Education, The Dept of Behavioral Sciences and the College of Medicine at UK.  In the Lexington community I am a board member at the Pride Community Service Organization (PCSO).  In my personal time I travel, try new restaurants, and go to see live theater.

My work with clients focuses on helping people heal. I specialize in working with clients on issues related to making meaning of the past. My passion is working with people so they can find a way to be genuine and fulfilled. I specialize in working with the LGBTQ* community.

I believe we are all cultural and social beings.  Our identities are shaped by our past, our relationships, and our beliefs about ourselves.  My clients describe me as approachable, genuine, and warm.  My therapeutic approach is rooted in interpersonal process, emotion-focused intervention, and mindfulness.
